The Government is taking steps jointly Maha Sanga to commemorate the 2600 year of the Budhha’s Enlightenment which scheduled to be held in 2011, Rev. Diviyagaha Yasassi Thero Said at the news briefing held at the Government Information Department short while ago.The initiative objective is to grow up a plan of action to spread a the practical performance of the Sambuddha Sasana to ensure their by the reservation of the Sasana in the future, to bring about the moral regeneration of the Sri Lankan Buddhist Society to protect the Sinhala Buddhist cultural identity.
The priority should be given to changing human behavior as expected in Buddha’s teaching
