Essential documents to clear relief goods, brought to Colombo from Chennai on board the vessel Cape Colarado, have still not been forwarded, claimed the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society.
“The goods cannot be cleared from the port of Colombo due to the non availability of these documents,” said Suren Peiris, Deputy Director General of the organisation.
The Indian Red Cross has been told of this necessity, the official said.
