Jaffna GA says civil administration maintained at a high standard
Government Agent of Jaffna K Ganesh has said that the standard of civil administration in his district is of a high standard.
Addressing a news briefing at the Jaffna District Secretariat, he pointed out that civil administration in the 15 Divisional Secretariat Divisions of the Jaffna District remained at a high standard.
They had made arrangements to maintain the administration without obstacles to meet the requirements of the civilians.
Referring to education in Jaffna, he noted that they held the Advanced Level and efficiency examinations for public officers successfully.
Giving views on rapid development of health, Mr Ganesh opined that they had all required medicinal drugs and health authorities have been called upon to intimate to them any urgent requirements which could be air lifted with the sanction of the Defence Ministry.
Turning on to the agricultural renaissance, the Jaffna District Secretary said maize cultivation was started two years ago and the coconut development was undertaken last year.
