Presdient Mahinda Rajapaksa was warmly received at the Sharn El Sheian airport with state honors by the Minister of Environment of Egypt, Maged Geroge this afternoon.
President Rajapaksa was accorded a guard of honour on his arrival at the airport.
President Rajapaska is scheduled to address ‘Head of State’ Summit tomorrow which will be attended by the state heads of the member countries.
The Non- Alignment’s session in Sharm El-Sheikh is organized under the theme of ‘International Cooperation and Peace for Development’.
Over 118 member countries and heads of state are scheduled to participate in the inaugural session of the NAM 15th assembly.
The objective of the NAM is to fulfill the tasks that the international community failed to achieve in attainment of development goals and realization of peace overcoming various challenges and consolidating political and economic freedom of the Asians, African and Latin American countries.
