Ruhunu Kataragama Devalaya begins its Esala (July) Celebrations

The Ruhunu Kataragama Devalaya begins its annual festival of activities today (July 3) and the festivities will continue until the ‘Water Cutting’ Ceremony on July 19. The Dansals (Alms houses), about the Devalaya premises will serve meals for the devotees during the period of the festival.

The Basnayake Nilame of the Devalaya,Shasindra Rajapakse , Government Depatrtmental representatives , and Representatives of other organisations will be involved in the Esala ceremonies.
