Minister of Transport Kumara Welgama is mulling over the launching of
the new programme in the near future. The Minister has decided to
travel by train to his office on every Public Day with the intention
of deciding on an efficient transport service on behalf of the

The Minister arrived at the Rambukkana Station at 4.00 am yesterday
and discussed problems of the commuters as well as Railway officials.
It was the opinion of the commuters that the trains are operating on
schedule due to the Minister’s novel initiative. The launching of the
bus service in parallel to the train service is a proposal made by
commuters to the Minister.
